Clinical Pilates is an adaptation of classical Pilates, and is taught one-on-one with a Physiotherapist. At CORE, we do all our sessions on a specialized piece of Pilates equipment called a Reformer. Clinical Pilates is different from classical Pilates in that it involves an assessment by your Physiotherapist and is goals-focused to address your specific concerns and injuries. The sessions are always one-on-one with your Physiotherapist. This treatment can also be submitted to extended healthcare plans under “physiotherapy”
In Pilates there is often a strong focus on core engagement, trunk stability, breath control and body awareness. Clinical Pilates pulls from these foundations and builds on them as your Physiotherapist will build you a targeted program to address your needs and provide consistent feedback and guidance through every session.
Benefits of Clinical Pilates include:
- Improved body awareness
